Rodrigo “Brucutu” Cabral is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Leo Vieira from Rio de Janeiro. One of the greatest “undiscovered” talents from Brazil. Rodrigo’s career has been plagued with injuries, though he recovered in 2011 on time to win the Brasileiro (Brazilian National) and a silver medal at the Master World Championships in 2012. Rodrigo Cabral also has international experience, having competed in Europe and the United States. He spent time as a coach England, and has spent time training in the best BJJ camps in the world, such as Alliance, Brasa, Checkmat, and Drysdale Jiu Jitsu.

Josh began his love of grappling as a freshman on his high school wrestling team. He continued to wrestle all 4 years of high school before stepping away from the sport. After a decade, Josh returned to the mat to begin a new grappling journey. He trained over 3 years at Gracie Barra New Mexico earning his purple belt under Roberto “Tussa” Alencar. A subsequent move to Austin led Josh to The Brazilian Fight Factory where he now trains under Rodrigo Cabral. He was promoted to Black Belt in February 2016.

Kody Steele began his martial arts career in Washington state when he was in 7th grade. He first started wrestling in the folk style (AKA collegiate wrestling) and then when the season came to an end Kody took up freestyle wrestling and Greco Roman style wrestling. He then went on to compete and place 3rd in the state of Washington for freestyle wrestling. Soon after Kody moved to Austin, TX for his senior year of high-school, but unfortunately for Kody there was no wrestling program at his school so that’s when he started to look into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu(BJJ) and that’s when he found Rodrigo Cabral Jiu Jitsu. After that Kody began training full time for four years as he went on to compete and place 8 times at the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation(IBJJF), then he became the Houston Open champion as well as the Austin Open champion and continues to compete in Jiu Jitsu events. Kody still actively trains BJJ and has also made the transition into Muay Thai about one year ago and plans on fighting in both MMA and Muay Thai events.

Muay Thai Coach Elton Wells

Elton began training martial arts as a young teenager in 1988, initially in the traditional styles of Kenpo and Tang Soo Do. In 1998 he discovered Muay Thai and fully adopted it as his primary style, training Muay Thai while also cross-training in boxing and BJJ with several gyms across North Carolina, Washington, Atlanta, and Texas. Elton has trained extensively as a personal student of Ajarn Jason Webster, who was a personal student of Muay Thai legend Apidej Sitiran and Krabi Krabong Grandmaster Samai Mesamarn. In 2007 he began teaching Muay Thai and training competitive fighters in both Muay Thai and MMA. In 2010 Ajarn Webster promoted Elton as a full instructor, his first student to achieve this rank. In 2013 Elton created the Ambush Muay Thai team, focused on people who are interested in competition Muay Thai. Now he focuses on building a community and team for anyone who loves Muay Thai and wants to learn and improve themselves through this art.

Coach Bobby Peek

BOBBY PEEK

Muay Thai Level One Instructor

Bobby Peek started training in Tae Kwon Do when he was five years of age in west Texas. Bobby reached the rank of 3rd Dan black belt and competed in national and international tournaments regularly and placed 3rd at the junior Olympics. Throughout his career he also gained experience teaching Tae Kwon Do at community centers and other schools in west Texas. At the age of twenty, Bobby decided to shift his focus to MMA and moved to San Antonio. Bobby was first introduced to Muay Thai by certified Fairtex Instructor Jamie Miller, and Bobby trained as a student of Jamie’s for three years. Once he returned from Thailand he accepted the head Muay Thai instructor of the Furious Training Center in San Antonio, TX. Bobby has taught Muay Thai at five gyms in the Austin and San Antonio areas and has coached all age and experience levels, from kids all the way up to professional fighters. After teaching in San Antonio, Bobby wanted to focus on competing in MMA and Muay Thai and decided to make the move to Austin, TX in 2010 and has been training under Elton Wells ever since. Bobby also cross trains in MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing and Muay Thai. Bobby also holds the rank of three-stripe blue belt in BJJ under Rodrigo Cabral. Bobby is a now a level one Muay Thai instructor and also helps fighters prepare during fight camp under Elton’s guidance.
